Chef Harris learned how to cook from years of working for different restaurants all over Hawaii. Starting as a dishwasher as a teenager he worked his way up through the ranks to eventually take the helm of many Hawaii restaurants as executive chef. After working many years at restaurants he eventually decided it was time to follow his vision and started Harris Chef Services, a business where he can put his skills to use as a private chef for families on the north shore of Kauai. While he is capable of making most any type of cuisine, he focuses on the vast array of seafood options that are readily available on the Hawaiian islands. He sources all of his ingredients with local fishermen, farmers, and ranchers that focus on sustainability. In addition, Chef Harris gives back to the local community with various free cooking lessons for kids on the island to get them interested in cooking and sustainability.
